Mosquito control in Columbia, SC
Take your evenings back. Monthly treatments through the whole season target where mosquitoes rest and breed, so your yard is usable again.
Monthly yard treatments, April through October
Adult mosquitoes spend the day resting in shady, sheltered spots: shrubs, under decks, ivy, and along fence lines. We treat those areas every month of the season, and add a growth regulator that stops larvae from becoming biting adults.
Mosquito stations
For extra control, we can place mosquito stations around your yard. Mosquitoes that land on them carry a growth regulator and a naturally occurring fungus back to the places they breed, reducing the next generation where sprays can't reach.
Help the treatment work
- Dump standing water weekly: buckets, toys, plant saucers, and clogged gutters can all breed mosquitoes.
- Keep shrubs and tall grass trimmed back so there are fewer places to rest.
- Let us know about ponds, bird baths, or other water features before we treat.
Common questions
When is mosquito season in South Carolina?
Mosquitoes are active from spring through fall in the Midlands. We treat monthly from April through October.
How does mosquito control work?
We treat the shady, sheltered places adult mosquitoes rest during the day, such as shrubs, under decks, and along fences. We also use a growth regulator that keeps larvae from developing into biting adults.
What are mosquito stations?
Small stations placed around your yard. Mosquitoes that visit them carry a growth regulator and a naturally occurring fungus back to nearby breeding spots, which cuts down the next generation.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
We use EPA-registered products and apply them exactly as their labels direct. Keep children and pets out of treated areas during the treatment and for at least one hour after.
Do I need to be home?
No. Treatments are outside, and we'll let you know before each visit.
